about
Join us for "Dropping the Mask," a virtual conference designed for change-makers ready to reimagine wellbeing, lived experience and mental health work. This event moves beyond conventional approaches, designed for people ready to do wellbeing, lived experience, DEI and community change work differently. We are centring authentic + trauma-informed leadership and person-centred practices that honour lived experience whilst creating sustainable change in communities and workplaces.
We're bringing together a wonderful group of speakers, including Joseph Gardner (documentary filmmaker), Uli Cartwright (lived experience advocate), the team from Aspect Autism Australia, Caz Pringle-Bowden (Counsellor, Educator & Yoga Facilitator) and others to share new ideas and practical strategies. Sessions will explore critical topics like nervous system care for change-makers strength-based approaches to neurodiversity at work, trauma-informed leadership, transforming personal trauma into policy change, and storytelling for social impact.
All speakers/organisers are donating their time, and profit from the event will be donated to Yoga for Good, a charity providing accessible yoga and trauma support for vulnerable communities and groups across Australia. Your participation directly contributes to vital services.
Tickets
In a conference about authenticity and wellbeing we'd be being hypocritical if we didn't walk the talk, so if you're interested in attending:
Full conference registration fee is our standard fee ($300 + booking fee)
Accessible conference registration fee is $150 (+ booking fee) - this is for small nonprofits and people paying for the conference personally where the standard fee would make it inaccessible
Fee-free places ($0) - encouraging lived and living experience and community change means ensuring that students and people who cannot afford it can still make it. More details coming soon about how to snag one of these tickets.
Don't forget - all proceeds are headed to Yoga for Good - an incredible charity doing the good work all over Australia. To learn more about them and their work (and maybe see some cool initiatives that have been funded in. your own community) head to their website.
